No less than 60 hours are in theory of clinical application which includes history of permanent hair removal, proper and effective treatment procedures, proper positioning, effective consultations and case history card procedures, hygiene, sterilization and infection control in the clinic.
No less than 15 hours are in clinic and office management which includes communications skill development, professional ethics, office procedures, office bookkeeping, business licenses, malpractice insurance, issues related to client management, the electronic tweezer and laser management.
No less than 10 hours are in disease and infection control which includes the study of blood-borne diseases, particularly hepatitis and HIV/AIDS, their control and prevention.
No less than 200 hours of practical clinical application which includes the performance of electrolysis, thermolysis and blend techniques on students and patients selected for the student clinic through regular clinic hours with designated areas of work utilizing the theories learned.
The intent of the curriculum is to prepare professionals for the superior clinical performance of electrolysis, to pass the certification exam of the American Electrolysis Association and to pass the exam of any state licensing agency.
